Neck Pain

What is neck pain? What causes neck pain? Most of people have experience of neck pain and headache. In many cases neck pain and neck injury are associated with shoulder injury limited range of motion. Joints, ligaments and muscles keep the neck stable. In between each bone, separated by the disc, is a nerve that runs out to supply different bits of the head, neck and arms.

If you damage one of these structures, it may give you a pain in the neck, but also in the arms or head. Not surprisingly, it also produces headaches and amazingly up to 70% of migraines are triggered by the neck pain. Treating your neck pain may improve your migraines.

Neck pain (cervical pain) can come from a number of disorders and diseases of any tissues in the neck, such as degenerative disc disease, overuse, computer and other jobs, neck strain, whiplash, a herniated disc, or a pinched nerve.
Symptoms of neck pain.

Neck pain is commonly associated with severe tension, limited range of motion, headache and dull aching. Movement of the neck deteriorate the neck pain. Other symptoms associated with neck pain include sharp shooting pain, numbness, tingling and pain in arms, tenderness, swallowing difficulty, dizziness, shoulder pain and light-headedness.
